YouTube trending MCP

Two tools. The YouTube Trending board, and YouTube search interest for any keyword.

MCP here means the Model Context Protocol server at api.trendsmcp.ai/mcp. Your assistant already speaks MCP. You add this server, you get YouTube Trending and YouTube search volume as tools, next to Google, TikTok, and the rest of the same key.

The live board takes no keyword. That is type YouTube Trending. The series takes a phrase. That is source youtube. Mixing those two up is the usual failure. If you ask for Trending and pass a keyword, you still get the board. If you ask for growth and omit the source, the server cannot guess YouTube versus Google.

Config is the remote server URL plus a Bearer tmcp_live_ key, or Claude's OAuth connector at /mcp. Same key as the REST API. Calling is billed. Connecting is not. The ranking URL is /youtube-mcp.

get_top_trends

Ranked YouTube Trending videos right now. No keyword. This is the public chart as JSON for the assistant.

get_top_trends(type="YouTube Trending", limit=25)

get_growth

YouTube search interest for a phrase, 0-100, with percent change over 3M and 12M. Pass source youtube.

get_growth(keyword="MrBeast", source="youtube", percent_growth=["3M", "12M"])
