The 20-pack AA SKU was rank 1 on September 27 and lost the slot to a 48-pack on September 28; it is back. The Amazon Smart Plug 2-pack is listed at both rank 3 and rank 4. Top trending products on Amazon: October 8
Amazon Basics 20-Pack AA Alkaline Batteries
Store-brand 1.5 volt AA pack with a listed 10-year leak-free shelf life. Rank 1 on the October 5 snapshot after the 48-pack held rank 1 on September 28. get_growth on amazon for AA: 30D plus 27.93 percent (64.8 to 82.9) with volume 11098571 to 14197921. The 7D window collapsed and is omitted.
Amazon Basics AAA Long-Lasting Alkaline Batteries, 36-Count
Matching AAA multipack at rank 2. The October 8 string truncates at "Emergency St"; the September 28 JSON used a longer title for the same 36-count pack. Household restock is the durable reason. No separate product-news bulletin was required.
Amazon Smart Plug, Works with Alexa (2-Pack)
Dual smart plug at rank 3, new versus September 28. get_growth on amazon for Amazon Smart Plug printed 20636 recent volume and is omitted as a thin match. Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6 to 7 per Amazon's own retail post, which is the nearest dated shopping event around this snapshot, not a SKU launch note.
Amazon Smart Plug, Works with Alexa (2-Pack)
The same 2-pack string occupies rank 4. The API returned the listing twice. Treat rank 4 as a duplicate row, not a second product.
Crocs Unisex-Adult Classic Clog
Classic clog at rank 5, a return after the September 28 drop-off when it had been rank 3 on older files. No new Crocs launch note was found for October 8, 2026.
Amazon Basics Queen Bright White microfiber 4-piece sheet set
Queen 14-inch-pocket sheet set at rank 6 after rank 3 on September 28, down 3. Recurring housewares SKU. No widely reported trigger identified for October 8, 2026.
Queen Size 4 Piece Sheet Set, Dark Grey
Third-party cooling sheet set at rank 7 after rank 4, down 3. Hotel-copy listing language is unchanged.
essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara
Drugstore mascara at rank 8 after rank 5, down 3. Staple beauty SKU with no new launch note in the fetch.
Verity
Colleen Hoover novel at rank 9 after rank 6, down 3. Amazon MGM's film adaptation opened in U.S. theaters on October 2, 2026, which is the dated reason the title is still on a product board rather than a new print run.
Gildan Men's Crew T-Shirts, Multipack, Style G1100
Basics tee multipack at rank 10 after rank 7, down 3. Apparel restock row, not a news event.

Holdovers that slipped: Amazon Basics Queen sheets 3 to 6, Dark Grey sheets 4 to 7, essence 5 to 8, Verity 6 to 9, Gildan 7 to 10. Drop-offs: 48-pack AA (was 1), Project Hail Mary (8), Tide PODS (9), blink plus plan (10). as_of moved from 2026-09-28T04:01:33.949958 to 2026-10-05T04:01:34.690129.
What today's Amazon trends reveal
The October 8 Top Rated ten is a restock board with one film-tie title and a duplicate smart-plug row. Batteries still occupy ranks 1 and 2, but the AA listing is the 20-count SKU again, not the 48-count SKU from September 28. Ranks 3 and 4 being the same Alexa 2-pack is a feed quirk, not two SKUs. Crocs re-entering at 5 after leaving the September 28 file is the cleanest apparel return. Verity sliding to 9 still sits next to a October 2 theatrical opening. Until as_of moves past 2026-10-05T04:01:34.690129, later daily files may reprint this ten with a newer publish date.
