About vinted
Vinted Group UAB is a private Lithuanian technology company whose main product is a peer-to-peer resale marketplace for clothes, shoes, and accessories. Wikipedia dates the founding to 2008 in Vilnius, when Milda Mitkute needed to move a wardrobe and Justas Janauskas built a site so friends could take the clothes.
Thomas Plantenga joined as a strategy consultant in 2016 and later became group CEO. Wikipedia records a November 2019 round of €128 million that made Vinted Lithuania's first technology unicorn at a €1 billion valuation, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. Later deals on that page include United Wardrobe in October 2020 and Denmark's Trendsales in 2024. Wikipedia lists 2025 revenue of €1.1 billion, net income of €62 million, and more than 2,200 employees. In April 2026, Wikipedia says, Vinted completed an €880 million secondary share sale that valued the company at €8 billion. The company's About page still describes 0% selling fees.
