About Blade Runner 2099
Blade Runner 2099 continues the franchise Ridley Scott launched in 1982 and Denis Villeneuve extended with Blade Runner 2049 in 2017. The limited series is set in a Los Angeles that has been remade, not by humans. Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a human fugitive who takes on a Blade Runner identity; Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant with little time left. Showrunner Silka Luisa (Shining Girls) leads the series, with Ridley Scott among the executive producers for Alcon Entertainment and Scott Free. Prime Video announced the November 25 2026 global premiere and showed the first teaser during the Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24 2026. All eight episodes arrive the same day. People search the title for cast confirmations, the teaser itself, and the long gap since 2049.
What the time series shows
This is a sparse YouTube curve with a single clear breakout. First nonzero value is 1 on February 19 2022. Later ones and twos appear as isolated weeks in 2024, 2025, and early 2026, never building a sustained ramp. June 2026 is all zeros. July 11 and July 18 each register 1, then July 25 jumps to 38, which is also the series peak. Derived labels: growth exploding, speed exponential, seasonality low, volatility high. Speed is exponential because the latest 30-day absolute move (0 → 38) follows a prior 30-day window with no measurable change. Seasonality is low: one teaser spike, not a repeating pattern. The API warning matters here. More than 90% of the 261 points are zero, so the chart proves a sudden trailer event more than a long attention career. Whether 38 holds depends on later marketing weeks not yet in the series.
