Shorten long board strings before growth calls. "IPhone 18 Pro Max Unboxing" becomes iPhone 18 Pro Max. "Obsession TikTok Dance" becomes obsession on the tiktok source. Exact phrase matching still works when a name is already short, as with KATSEYE.

Limits and honest caveats

The searches board is a ranked list of query strings, not a full TikTok Search API with click counts or demographic splits. Growth on source tiktok often covers roughly 30 daily points, so 3M and longer windows can fail with date_out_of_range; prefer 7D, 14D, and 30D there. Many board phrases return no_data on tiktok until shortened to a hashtag-like token.

Sparse Google history produces extreme percent growth when the baseline index is 0. Quote the recent index and the quality warning instead of inventing a tidy percentage. News volume follow-ups can time out with 504 errors on some names; when that happens, fall back to google search and youtube only and say so in the write-up.
