Helium 10 wins the public price card. Jungle Scout wins the enterprise market-share story. Neither one is a live multi-source trend API.

On 29 August 2026, Helium 10 pricing prints Platinum at $129/month or $99 on yearly (the page says Saves $360) and Diamond at $359/$279 (Saves $960). Diamond includes Helium 10 MCP up to 1,000 calls, and the same grid also lists an MCP add-on starting at $50/month. Jungle Scout pricing still does not print Catalyst Starter, Growth Accelerator, or Brand Owner monthly dollars. Extra Catalyst seats are $49/month or $459/year. Cobalt is a demo for brands above $1 million in annual corporate revenue. Trends MCP belongs in this set only for Amazon best-seller boards, Google Shopping, TikTok, and Google Search inside Cursor or REST. It does not replace listing ops, PPC rules, or Seller Central inventory.

Which Amazon job does each product actually win?

Jungle Scout is the better pick when the buyer needs category share, 1P versus 3P mix, and a catalog measured in thousands of ASINs. Helium 10 is the better pick when the buyer needs a self-serve seller cockpit: keyword tools, listing work, ads, inventory, and a Diamond MCP that talks to that same account. Trends MCP is the better pick when the buyer needs ranked Amazon, Google, TikTok, and Reddit boards inside an AI client, not a Seller Central workflow.

The public pages make that split concrete. Jungle Scout's comparison table (accessed 29 August 2026) assigns Catalyst to companies selling under $1 million on Amazon: up to 140 metrics, 200 ASINs, 1 platform integration, 8 Amazon marketplaces. Cobalt is the $1 million-plus row: over 800 metrics, 20,000 ASINs, 6 integrations, 19 marketplaces, plus Buy Box, 1P versus 3P, and category trend checks that Catalyst marks closed. Helium 10's grid is a seller stack. Platinum is framed at $0 to $100K in yearly sales with 20 tracked ASINs lifetime, 100 keyword searches monthly, 1 extra user, and 2 Seller Central connections. Diamond is $100K to $10M, 1,000 ASINs, 5 extra users, 10 connections, 500 inventory SKUs versus Platinum's 40, and a 2% managed-spend fee on Helium 10 Ads.

Trends MCP does not track ASINs, recover FBA reimbursements, or run dayparting. The Amazon Best Sellers API page is the matching landing page for the board job: get_top_trends with type Amazon Best Sellers by Category, a required official category string, default limit 25, max 200, optional sort rank_change and window 7d.

Helium 10 should sit in row one for a working seller. Jungle Scout should sit in row one for a brand team that already outgrew ASIN-level research. Trends MCP should sit in row one only for the board and growth-index job.

What Helium 10 charges on the public grid

Helium 10 is the vendor that still prints a checkout number. Accessed 29 August 2026, the yearly toggle is labeled save up to 20%. Platinum is $129 monthly or $99 yearly. Diamond is $359 monthly or $279 yearly. Enterprise is $1,499 per month as a starting price, billed annually, with 10+ users, 15+ seller accounts, up to 5,000 ASINs, and ad-budget bands from $25K to $1M monthly spend. All prices are in USD plus tax.

The FAQ on that same page still names Supercharge Your Brand for up to 25 extra users, while the visible cards are Platinum, Diamond, and Enterprise. Platinum allows 1 extra user. Diamond allows up to 5. Extra users are an add-on. Chrome access is limited on Free and full on Platinum and above for Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Walmart. Freedom Ticket is included on Platinum and Diamond while the subscription stays active; standalone access is $997.

Trust stats on the pricing page: 4.5 million brands, $7B+ monthly Amazon GMV, 860K+ Chrome extension users, 24+ marketplaces. Cancel is self-serve from Plans & Billing or via [email protected].

Helium 10 MCP is the reason this vs query now has an AI-agent row. The MCP product page (same day) names get_keywords_by_keyword, get_keywords_by_asin, analyze_keywords (up to 200 keywords), search_products, search_amazon_brand_analytics, manage_ads_campaigns, execute_ads_query, and get_account_profit. It claims 30+ MCP tools, 24 marketplaces, and 9 years of data. The FAQ says Diamond customers get the connector at no additional cost, for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and custom agents. Connect path: Account Settings, Integrations, MCP Connector, then OAuth.

That "no extra cost" line collides with the pricing grid. Diamond copy says "Helium 10 MCP: Included free (up to 1,000 calls)" and the add-on table still lists MCP starting at $50/month. The July MCP essay says "No per-query pricing. No metered API calls." Treat the 1,000-call cap and the $50 add-on as the checkout facts until Helium 10 removes them.

Why Catalyst monthly SKUs stay behind a button

Jungle Scout's public HTML still will not show Starter, Growth Accelerator, or Brand Owner monthly dollars. The control is labeled View Catalyst Pricing. Third-party $49 / $79 / $149 Catalyst tables are not official and are not quoted here.

What the FAQ does print, accessed 29 August 2026:

  • Starter: 1 user
  • Growth Accelerator: 1 user, extra seats $49/month or $459/year
  • Brand Owner: 3 users, same extra-seat prices
  • No free trial
  • 7-day money-back on standard Catalyst plans (promos excluded); email [email protected]
  • Annual plans: save up to $360
  • Cancel at the end of the current Catalyst billing cycle; upgrades prorate

Catalyst full marketplaces: United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, with some features limited to the United States. Partial: Netherlands, Turkey, India, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Brazil. Cobalt is 19 marketplaces. The page also prints 1M+ global customers, 11 years of sales-estimate work, 600M+ products across 24 categories, and "18x GMV more coverage than any other provider."

The Jungle Scout MCP page (same day) uses a different GMV claim: "tracking 18% of Amazon's GMV" and "40,000 active seller engagements." Those are not the same sentence as "18x GMV." Cite both; do not flatten them.

MCP access is not a Diamond-style self-serve toggle. The product FAQ says Jungle Scout MCP connects Cobalt's Amazon intelligence to approved AI platforms. New customers submit a demo form. Existing customers talk to a CSM. The connector is described as an extension of Cobalt, not a replacement. Paired with Claude Cowork it can draft a brief, post a Slack alert, or save a report. That is a brand-intel workflow, not Cerebro-in-Cursor.

The developer API is a separate product. developer.junglescout.com/api (same day) documents REST JSON:API 1.0, base https://developer.junglescout.com, Content-Type: application/vnd.api+json, Accept: application/vnd.junglescout.v1+json, Authorization: KEY_NAME:API_KEY, and X-API-Type of junglescout or cobalt. A marketplace query parameter is required. There is no public dollar table on that page. Throttle: 300 requests per minute or 15 per second per account, then HTTP 429 with code REQUEST_THROTTLED. Helium 10 still has no general public REST API on the pages fetched this run; MCP is the programmatic path it advertises.

How the two seller MCP connectors actually differ

Helium 10 MCP is an operator connector. Jungle Scout MCP is a Cobalt briefing connector. They share the letters MCP and not much else.

Helium 10's page is built around account questions: why traffic dropped, which campaign is wasting spend, which ASINs drag margin. Tool names map to Cerebro, Magnet, rank tracking, ads, P&L, and inventory. The July essay lists morning rank digests, worst-campaign flags, reverse-ASIN gap reports, margin alerts, and competitor out-of-stock scans. Ads MCP is described as able to execute bid and budget changes with approval. Diamond is the gate.

Jungle Scout's page is built around category questions: growing faster or slower than the category, who is gaining share, which price tiers are moving, who owns the keywords. Access is Cobalt plus a demo. There is no self-serve install JSON on the public MCP page. There is no published call cap and no published MCP SKU.

A Cursor user who wants seller P&L in chat is shopping Helium 10 Diamond, not Jungle Scout Catalyst. A category team that wants share-of-voice in Claude is shopping Cobalt, not Platinum. Neither connector returns Google Trends, TikTok hashtag boards, or Wikipedia pageviews. That is the only honest opening for a third product.

What a trend-data MCP adds that neither suite ships

Trends MCP is a live trend server with MCP and REST on one key. It is not a seller suite. The useful comparison is the install and the board contract, because those stay true next month.

Cursor config from docs.md (29 August 2026), file ~/.cursor/mcp.json on Mac/Linux:

"trends-mcp": {
  "url": "https://api.trendsmcp.ai/mcp",
  "transport": "http",
  "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" }
}

Two hosts, not interchangeable: https://api.trendsmcp.ai/mcp with a Bearer key for Cursor, VS Code, Claude Desktop, and most clients; OAuth on the www /mcp path for Claude.ai Connectors only. REST is POST https://api.trendsmcp.ai/api. Three tools: get_trends (REST get_time_series), get_growth, get_top_trends. Tools are read-only. get_top_trends default limit is 25, max 200, offset starts at 0. On MCP, type is required (one feed per call). On REST, omitting type returns every feed in one response.

The Amazon board call that neither seller MCP publishes as a public type string:

{
  "mode": "get_top_trends",
  "type": "Amazon Best Sellers by Category",
  "category": "Toys Games",
  "sort": "rank_change",
  "window": "7d",
  "limit": 10
}

Official category names are space-separated labels such as Toys Games, Home Kitchen, and Beauty Personal Care. category is also required for Google Trends by Category, Top Websites, Substack by Category, and TikTok Trending Hashtags by Category. Keyword source amazon on get_growth is product-search volume, not Seller Central rank history.

Pricing, fetched the same day: markdown table is Free $0 / 100 requests, Starter $19 / 1,000, Pro $49 / 5,000, Business $199 / 25,000, annual billing saves 20%. HTML yearly as billed: Starter $16/month ($192), Pro $39/month ($468), Business $159/month ($1,910), toggle copy "2 months free." HTML also markets 35+ data sources, Free as top 10 trends plus 12 months of history plus 24-hour delayed data, paid as all trends and full history, a 7-day trial with card at checkout and charge on day 8, failed calls free, keyword alerts Pro 50 / Business 250, and 9,467,110 API calls served on this HTML fetch. Do not flatten "35+" to the docs tables.

The tables disagree, and that is part of the product fact. docs.md lists 15 keyword sources (no python) and 24 named live feeds, including Amazon Best Sellers by Category and TikTok Trending Hashtags by Category. The live MCP get_top_trends schema on this run matches those 24 feed names. data-sources.md the same day lists the 15 keyword sources but only 20 live feeds and omits the four by Category boards, including Amazon. llms.txt still says "plus 21 live feeds." MCP get_growth still lists python; the docs keyword table does not. Quote the file in front of the reader. Do not pick 15, 16, 20, 21, 23, 24, or 35+ as if they were one number.

For an agent that already has Helium 10 or Jungle Scout, the MCP server for Cursor page is the install path. For product research that starts on TikTok or Google Shopping rather than ASIN databases, ecommerce product research is the use-case page. Those jobs are adjacent to seller suites. They are not the same SKU.

FAQ

Is Jungle Scout cheaper than Helium 10?

Unknown on Catalyst, because Jungle Scout does not print those monthly dollars on the public page accessed 29 August 2026. Helium 10 Platinum is $129/month or $99 yearly. Diamond is $359/$279. Extra Jungle Scout Catalyst seats are $49/month or $459/year, which is a published add-on, not a plan price. Cobalt is custom. Compare a written quote to Helium 10's grid rather than a blogger's Catalyst table.

Does Jungle Scout have an MCP like Helium 10?

Yes, and it is not the same product. Jungle Scout MCP is powered by Cobalt, gated by demo or a customer-success conversation, and aimed at category share, price tiers, and share of voice. Helium 10 MCP is included for Diamond on the MCP FAQ, connects via OAuth, and names account-level tools for keywords, ads, and profit. Trends MCP is a third connector: three read-only trend tools, self-serve HTTP JSON, no Seller Central login.

Can Trends MCP replace Helium 10 or Jungle Scout?

No. It does not rewrite listings, manage PPC, track 1,000 ASINs, or estimate Amazon unit sales. Sellers who need those jobs still buy a suite. Trends MCP is the add-on when the agent also needs Amazon best-seller climbers, Google Shopping growth, or TikTok hashtag boards without standing up a second seller login.

Which tool is better for Cursor agents that need Amazon charts?

Helium 10 if the chart is the seller's own keywords, ads, and margins and the account is already Diamond. Jungle Scout if the chart is Cobalt category share and the team will sit through a demo. Trends MCP if the chart is a live Amazon Best Sellers by Category board or a get_growth index on source amazon, google shopping, or tiktok, using the Cursor url plus transport http block above.

Does Helium 10 MCP have a call cap?

The pricing grid says yes: included free up to 1,000 calls on Diamond, with an MCP add-on starting at $50/month. The MCP FAQ and the July essay say Diamond includes the connector at no extra cost and, in the essay, no metered API calls. Those pages were all live on 29 August 2026. Until they agree, assume the 1,000-call line on checkout is real.
