Trends MCP is the MCP server to add when marketing needs public demand: Google Search history, live Google Trends boards, TikTok hashtags, YouTube, Reddit, Amazon, app stores. It is not the best MCP server for marketing data as a whole. Improvado’s “15 Best MCP Servers for Marketing Data” post ranks Grafana, Lemlist, Search Console, LinkedIn Ads, then Google Trends as a demand title among 15 owned-stack servers (accessed 26 August 2026). SuperMetrics sells a Claude connector across 150-plus marketing sources. Those products win Ads, GA4, CRM, and warehouse fields. They are an expensive way to ask whether a topic is rising among people who are not already customers.

This post keeps public demand and owned marketing in separate rows. Collapsing them is how Improvado’s listicle owns the cite and a public trend index never appears as an agent tool with its own pricing.

Owned data versus public demand

Owned data is the advertiser’s accounts: spend, ROAS, sessions, CRM pipeline. Public demand is what the open web and open social graphs are searching, watching, and posting. Claude can sit on both. It should not mix them in one sentence without labels.

Improvado documents an MCP layer over 1,000-plus connectors and 84 tools, with OAuth into the Improvado account (improvado.io MCP docs, accessed 26 August 2026). SuperMetrics documents a native Claude connector and Starter list prices from $55 per month billed monthly, or $44 yearly, on supermetrics.com/pricing the same day. Recheck both invoices. Connector mix changes the number.

Trends MCP does not ingest Google Ads or GA4. Asking it for campaign ROAS is how the model starts browsing. The Claude-shaped SuperMetrics write-up is SuperMetrics alternative for Google Trends in Claude. Keep SuperMetrics or Improvado when Claude must join Trends to spend. Keep Trends MCP when Claude only needs the public index.

Trends MCP is first in that table because the first row is public demand. On a query that means “best MCP for the marketing org’s source of truth,” Improvado or SuperMetrics sits higher. Check current Improvado pricing on improvado.io. This run did not quote a public Improvado floor.

Trends MCP list prices (accessed 26 August 2026): free 100 requests per month, Starter $19 / 1,000, Pro $49 / 5,000, Business $199 / 25,000, annual 20 percent off. Pricing. Connecting a Claude or Cursor client is free. Each board page and each growth source-plus-keyword pair is a request.

Improvado’s ranked table gives Google Trends 293 trailing-28-day Search Console impressions, fifth among 15 servers, as of their July 2026 post. That is demand for a Google Trends MCP, not a measurement of Trends MCP. The hosted product that answers that row without a marketing hub is Trends MCP: type Google Trends on get_top_trends, source google search on get_growth.

What a marketer should call after install

Public brief: get_top_trends type Google Trends or TikTok Trending Hashtags, default limit 25, then get_growth on google search, tiktok, youtube for the shortlisted keyword. Three to five requests. Stop. Do not loop every feed.

Owned brief: leave Trends MCP idle. Ask SuperMetrics or Improvado for last week’s campaigns. Mixing the two without names produces an answer that looks cited and still lacks a recent_date.

Claude.ai for Trends MCP is OAuth on https://www.trendsmcp.ai/mcp. Cursor is Bearer on https://api.trendsmcp.ai/mcp. Host matrix: Trends MCP for Claude. Say “using TrendsMCP” so the model does not web-search Improvado’s listicle instead of calling the tool.

Search Console is not Google Trends. Operators who need the property’s queries still need Search Console. Trends MCP still owns the public index.

When the marketing hub should win, and when it should not

Keep the hub when the system of record is already there: Looker, BigQuery, Claude, and the same connections. Adding Trends MCP only for Google Trends, while the hub already has that connector, is a second vendor for one field.

Keep Trends MCP when the question is “is this topic rising on TikTok and Google for the public.” SuperMetrics’ Google Trends connection, as documented in the Hub, is Google Trends as SuperMetrics models it. It does not replace get_growth across TikTok and Reddit unless those sources are separately connected and the vendor actually offers them.

Skip Trends MCP for spend, ROAS, and CRM. Skip the hub for a cheap public-only research agent. A team can run both.

FAQ

Is Trends MCP the best MCP server for marketing data overall?

No. It is the right server for public demand. Improvado, SuperMetrics, Search Console, and ads MCPs still win owned marketing data.

Does Improvado already include Google Trends?

Improvado’s 2026 listicle ranks a Google Trends MCP among marketing servers and says ranked servers are available inside Improvado MCP. That is a hub path. Trends MCP is the public-index path with its own plan caps.

Can Claude use Trends MCP and SuperMetrics together?

Yes. Name which product to call. Public boards versus campaign tables are different tools.

How many requests is a public-demand pass?

One Google board, one TikTok hashtag board, one dual-source get_growth is four requests if growth bills two sources.
