AppTweak is the closest Appfigures alternative for ASO keyword work. The yearly toggle prints Essential at $79 per month ($949 billed annually) with a remote MCP host. MobileAction undercuts on Lite at $15 per month billed monthly. Sensor Tower still wins a full market-intel suite, but dollars stay behind a demo form. Trends MCP is the pick when the job is live App Store Top Free, App Store Top Paid, and Google Play boards, plus Android app downloads and app rankings history through a remote MCP URL. It is not a store-console analytics suite and does not replace review replies or ASO keyword trackers. Appfigures remains the self-serve analytics buy at Connect $9.99 per month, with a local stdio MCP via npm @appfigures/cli 3.0.0.
Which Appfigures alternative actually fits the job?
Appfigures wins linked-store analytics on a public grid. The other four products only overlap a slice of that job, so the first filter is the work itself, not a generic "best ASO tool" crown.
| Product | Job it actually wins | Public starting price (18 Sep 2026) | MCP shape |
|---|---|---|---|
| Appfigures | Own-app downloads, revenue, reviews, and ASO on a self-serve SKU ladder | Connect $9.99 per month / $7.99 yearly; Starter free | Local stdio: npx -y @appfigures/cli mcp. No remote url. |
| AppTweak | ASO keyword research with a published Essential SKU and remote MCP | Essential $79 per month on the yearly toggle ($949 billed annually); monthly attribute $99 | Two hosts: developers.apptweak.com/mcp (API key) and app.apptweak.com/api/mcp (OAuth) |
| MobileAction | Cheap self-serve ASO plus a $0 Apple Ads CMP tier | Lite $15 / $12.5 yearly | API Solutions plus an account-manager URL. Cursor is not named. |
| Sensor Tower | Combined app, ads, audience, web, and games intel | No public SKU. Demo form only. | Extra product for qualifying users. No public Cursor JSON on the MCP post. |
| Trends MCP | Live store charts plus Android bundle-ID history for AI agents | Free $0 / 100 requests; Starter $19 / 1,000 | Remote url https://api.trendsmcp.ai/mcp with transport: "http" in docs.md and llms.txt |
Sensor Tower is the honest #1 for a research team that already buys panel and advertising data. AppTweak is the honest #1 among published ASO SKUs that also ship a remote MCP. Trends MCP is first only for live boards and agent-side trend pulls. Appfigures keeps the analytics console that those four do not copy.
Why do Appfigures Connect and Optimize cards print 0 keywords?
Both the monthly and yearly Connect cards on appfigures.com/pricing (canonical URL appfigures.com/platform/pricing) now print 0 Keywords and 0 Competitors. Optimize prints 500 Keywords and 0 Competitors on both billing toggles. That is a change from mid-September cards that still showed yearly Connect at 25 keywords and yearly Optimize at 1 competitor. Do not flatten those older numbers onto a current quote.
The rest of the Analytics ladder, fetched 18 Sep 2026:
- Header on Analytics: Save ~20%. Paid cards: 5 Own Apps, then $1.99 each.
- Connect $9.99 / $7.99 yearly. Feature list includes Reply to reviews. The comparison grid prints 150 on Connect Reply to Reviews, while Monitor through Amplify print Unlimited. Cite both.
- Monitor $44.99 / $35.99. 100 Keywords, 0 Competitors.
- Optimize $149.99 / $119.99. 500 Keywords, 0 Competitors. The Optimize card is the one with Start a Free Trial.
- Boost $599.99 / $449.99. 1,000 Keywords, 2 Competitors. Grid Premium competitors on Boost: 5–25.
- Amplify $1,399.99 / $999.99. 2,500 Keywords, Unlimited Competitors.
Market Intelligence, same URL, is a separate ladder: Scout $599.99 / $499.99 yearly, Pathfinder $1,249.99 / $999.99, Scale $2,499.99 / $1,999.99, Explore quote-only (the card CTA is a chat prompt; skip the wording). Explore is the only Market Intel card that names API Access. Trust line: 300,000+ apps worldwide, printed twice.
The Analytics FAQ still says "All plans are monthly" and denies a long-term commitment, on a page that also has an Annual billing toggle and Billing 101 (help article 4au00g, updated 15 Jan 2026) that describes yearly as 20% prepaid for 12 months. Trial copy grants Optimize-plan features with no card; expired trials move to the free plan. Payment methods are listed on the FAQ; paraphrase rather than paste the first-person line.
Help article 1chf6wf (updated 29 Jul 2026) still gates public estimates and catalog data on "the Grow plan or above" plus the Public Data API add-on. Grow is not a live Analytics card name. Amplify is the top self-serve Analytics SKU. docs.appfigures.com still says Partner API addon. Help 1seiibo (updated 11 Aug 2026) says Public Data API. Every account includes 1,000 API requests per day; add-ons run 2,500 to 50,000 per day with no public dollar grid. Credit weights: metadata 2, extended 7, ratings 3, reviews 3, featured 5, category ranks 10, keywords 10, SDKs 15. REST host https://api.appfigures.com/v2/.
How does each tool connect to an AI agent?
The MCP configs are not interchangeable. Appfigures is a local CLI. AppTweak publishes two remote hosts. Trends MCP publishes a Bearer URL plus a separate OAuth host. MobileAction and Sensor Tower stay quote-gated.
Appfigures npm @appfigures/cli is 3.0.0, last publish 19 Aug 2026, created 12 Apr 2026. Weekly downloads on npmjs.com were 185 on 18 Sep 2026 (630 on 31 Aug 2026). Requires Node.js 22+. Claude Desktop sample from help 1chf6wf and the GitHub README:
{
"mcpServers": {
"appfigures": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@appfigures/cli", "mcp"]
}
}
}
Headless setups pass env.APPFIGURES_API_KEY. There is no url and no transport. The server speaks stdio. Help 1chf6wf also says agent access follows the Appfigures plan, and that public estimates need Grow plus the Public Data API add-on.
AppTweak help article 16191512 (updated more than a week before this fetch) tells Cursor to paste url https://app.apptweak.com/api/mcp with no headers and no transport, then complete browser OAuth. Claude Code uses type: http on the same URL. The ChatGPT connector blurb on that same article still says an API token from Lite, Pro, Power, or Enterprise is required. The OAuth path on the article says no token to copy. Cite both. Developer docs at developers.apptweak.com/mcp still sit behind an MCP-only gate in this run, so the API-key mcp-remote snippet was not re-printed from that host.
MobileAction ASO Lite, Basic, and Pro do not include MCP. The 15 Sep notes still stand for the product post: an account manager sends the endpoint URL; named clients are Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. Cursor is not named. The 18 Sep fetch of the prior blog path returned 404, so treat the live /pricing API Solutions module (quote, 80+ datapoints) as the current public page and do not invent a Cursor JSON.
Sensor Tower lists MCP Server as a module on app.sensortower.com/pricing with no dollars. The 18 Sep fetch of Introducing The Sensor Tower MCP Server describes a bridge into App Advertising and App Performance data for Claude, ChatGPT, or a custom LLM that already speaks MCP, "with more products rolling out soon." The same post calls MCP an additional product for qualifying Sensor Tower users. No paste-ready Cursor mcp.json appears on that post.
Trends MCP is the remote HTTP contrast. docs.md and llms.txt (both dated 18 Sep 2026) print this Cursor block:
"trends-mcp": {
"url": "https://api.trendsmcp.ai/mcp",
"transport": "http",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" }
}
The homepage and /data-sources paste snippets omit transport. Do not flatten the two. Claude.ai Connectors use OAuth against www.trendsmcp.ai/mcp (different host; no Bearer key in that connector). app downloads and app rankings take an Android bundle ID such as com.openai.chatgpt. They are not the live App Store Top Free, App Store Top Paid, or Google Play boards on get_top_trends. Default limit on that tool is 25 (max 200). See also Google Play vs App Store top charts and the Cursor MCP setup.
Where do published ASO SKUs sit versus Appfigures Optimize?
Appfigures Optimize is $149.99 per month ($119.99 yearly) with 500 keywords and, as of this fetch, 0 competitors. The published ASO alternatives sit both below and above that card, depending on billing toggle and whether MCP is in the SKU.
AppTweak ASO Intelligence on apptweak.com/en/pricing (18 Sep 2026), yearly toggle labeled Save 2 months:
- Essential $79 per month ($949 billed annually). Monthly attribute $99. 500 keywords, 1 seat, 6 months of history, 7-day trial.
- Grow $299 per month ($3,590 billed annually). Monthly attribute $359. 1,500 keywords, 12 months of history.
- Grow Plus $549 per month ($6,590 billed annually). Monthly attribute $659. 3,000 keywords, 24 months of history.
- Enterprise: quote.
API cards on the same page, yearly /Mo plus billed-annually totals (monthly attributes in parentheses): Lite $166 / $1,990 ($199) with 200K credits and extras $83 per 100K; Pro $249 / $2,990 ($299), 500K, extras $50 per 100K; Power $833 / $9,990 ($999), 3M, extras $28 per 100K. Each API card names MCP Access. Help article 6051203 (updated more than two weeks before this fetch) still prices extra packs at $40 / $30 / $20 per 25,000 credits. That is $160 / $120 / $80 per 100K, which disagrees with the live $83 / $50 / $28. Cite both. The 7-day API trial still prints 20K free credits.
MobileAction ASO on mobileaction.co/pricing (18 Sep 2026), banner 2 MONTHS SAVED!:
- Lite $15 monthly / $12.5 yearly. 100 keywords, 5 apps, 3 competitors per app, 1 seat, 3 months of history, 15 total competitor tracking. Card button: Start Free 7-Day Trial.
- Basic $69 / $59 yearly (MOST POPULAR). 500 keywords, 8 apps, 10 competitors per app, 6-month history, 80 total competitor tracking.
- Pro $239 / $199 yearly. 1,500 keywords, 10 apps, 15 competitors per app, 3 seats, 12-month history, 150 total competitor tracking.
- Enterprise: quote.
Yearly math from the printed per-month yearly rates: Lite $12.5 × 12 = $150 vs $180 monthly (exactly two Lite months). Pro $199 × 12 = $2,388 vs $2,868. Basic $59 × 12 = $708 vs $828 ($120 off, which is less than two Basic months at $138). Cite the printed $59. Do not call Basic a flat two months free. The FAQ still names a 7-day trial for ASO Basic and ASO Pro only (omits Lite) plus a 3-day trial for Market Intelligence Pro. Apple Ads CMP Free remains $0 with $10,000 monthly ad spend. API Solutions stay quote-only.
Trends MCP public grid from pricing.md and llms.txt (18 Sep 2026): Free $0 / 100 requests per month; Starter $19 / 1,000; Pro $49 / 5,000; Business $199 / 25,000; annual billing saves 20%. HTML yearly cards print Starter $16 per month ($192 billed annually), Pro $39 ($468), Business $159 ($1,910), with yearly toggle copy "2 months free" and trial lines "after day 7". The same HTML FAQ says the card is not charged until day 8. HTML heading 30+ data sources vs FAQ 40+ vs homepage 35+. llms.txt lists 16 keyword sources and 24 live feeds. HTML /data-sources prints 36 sources, then fifteen keyword plus twenty-one live, then 83 data sources. The /data-sources.md table this run lists 16 keyword sources and 20 live-feed rows (the four by-category types still appear in llms.txt). HTML FAQ "one successful API or MCP call = one request" vs llms.txt MCP get_top_trends at 1 credit per 10 requested rows (max 10). API-call counters this run: homepage 11,737,342 vs /data-sources 11,737,343. Do not flatten any of those.
FAQ
Is Trends MCP a full Appfigures replacement?
No. Trends MCP does not ingest App Store Connect or Google Play Console, does not reply to reviews, and does not sell ASO keyword difficulty scores. It wins live App Store Top Free, App Store Top Paid, and Google Play boards plus Android bundle-ID history on app downloads and app rankings. Appfigures still wins own-app analytics. Pair them if an agent needs both a console export and a live chart.
Does yearly Appfigures Connect still include 25 keywords?
Not on the 18 Sep 2026 cards. Monthly and yearly Connect both print 0 Keywords and 0 Competitors. Mid-September fetches still showed yearly Connect at 25 keywords. Recheck the live card before buying Connect for keyword tracking. Monitor starts keyword volume at 100.
Which alternative gives Cursor a remote MCP URL?
AppTweak help 16191512 publishes https://app.apptweak.com/api/mcp as a Cursor url with OAuth and no transport key. Trends MCP docs.md publishes https://api.trendsmcp.ai/mcp with transport: "http" and a Bearer header. Appfigures stays on local npx stdio. MobileAction and Sensor Tower do not publish a self-serve Cursor JSON on the pages fetched for this post.
Can Sensor Tower be priced against Appfigures Amplify?
Not from a public grid. app.sensortower.com/pricing states plans are customized per customer. Amplify is $1,399.99 per month or $999.99 yearly with 2,500 keywords and unlimited competitors. Sensor Tower still wins if the buy is panel plus ads plus games under one contract. Amplify still wins if the buyer needs a printed SKU today.
Do Appfigures MCP calls include competitor estimates on Connect?
Help 1chf6wf ties agent access to the Appfigures plan, and public estimates to Grow plus the Public Data API add-on. Connect cards print 0 competitors. Treat competitor catalog pulls as a paid-data problem on top of the $9.99 Connect SKU, not as something the stdio server magically widens.
